The Wisconsin Public Employer Labor Relations Association, hereinafter designated "WPELRA" or "Association", is formed to provide the highest standard of excellence in assisting and representing state, county, school district or municipal governments in the area of public sector labor relations and human resources. In order to implement its purpose, the WPELRA program shall include, among other things:
A. Dissemination and exchange of information and data, the analysis of policy, pertaining to all areas of public sector labor relations and huma resources in which state, county, school district and municipal governments may become involved.
B. Fostering of cooperation among members, including meeting at appropriate times and encouraging the open exchange of ideas and information, to promote sound public policies and practices with respect to public sector labor relations and human resources; and
C. Providing such appropriate guidance, education, and assistance in the public sector labor relations and human resources as may be directed from time to time by membership or the Board of Directors, hereinafter designated "Board".
Disseminate and exchange information, data, and analysis of policy pertaining to all areas of labor relations, including collective bargaining, in which governmental jurisdictions and public management may become involved.
Provide a voice for public sector management and labor relations professionals in the development of state and national policy affecting personnel and labor relations
Faster communication and cooperation among members to promote sound public policies, practices, and legislation.
Promote innovative solutions to practical problems in public sector labor management relations.
Provide professional support to public sector labor relations practitioners in resolving problems within their jurisdiction.
Provide training and continuing education opportunities in employee/employer labor relations.
